Stephen Daniel

When Stephen Daniel became an independent USANA Associate thanks to his lifelong friends Daniel and Dr. Paige Hunter, he was primarily interested in how the products could help him maintain his health. He also hoped his new venture could help him earn some extra money. “I never imagined the USANA opportunity would become as big as it has for me,” he states. “I was just hoping to earn enough to pay for my products and maybe an extra $200 a month.
Now, I’ve changed my lifestyle, my health is great, and I’m making enough money in USANA that it’s my major source of income.
(Disclaimer) I’ve been able to shut down my other businesses.”

Stephen admits that some of his past businesses—a car dealership, a furniture store, and an import/export business—were boring after a short time. But as he witnessed the possibilities available through the USANA opportunity, the new Diamond Director realized that this business was different. Today, Stephen is never bored and is enjoying his work more than ever. He is committed to changing people’s lives, a mission that compels him to continue building his thriving USANA business.

His enthusiasm keeps him busy traveling. Every day and every city offer new people who can benefit from USANA and new opportunities for Stephen to help his team achieve their own successes. “USANA is so rewarding because it’s not only your goals being accomplished,” he says. “You can actually see the difference in other people’s lives.” Some of the most inspiring changes have happened in Stephen’s own family. It warms his heart to see his mother and 70-year-old father experiencing the quality of life available with good health. And he has observed similar changes in lifestyle for new friends he’s made around the world. “Sometimes I go back to towns in Mexico where I worked a few years ago,” he reports. “I’ll see women and men with big smiles on their faces. They are dressed nicer, driving new cars, and some are in living in new homes. It’s so rewarding to have friends around the world who are happy you’ve come into their lives.” He knows from experience what it’s like to live through hard times. Stephen grew up in a household that often struggled to make ends meet—a life that taught him how to fight to succeed. “I think the low times in your life can make you stronger,” he states.

That strength has instilled a drive for success into this determined businessman’s heart. “People ask me if it’s enough, now that I’ve achieved this level. But, I don’t think there’s ever an end to it. I don’t believe in retirement. I really think it’s important to stay productive and continue making your goals bigger and bigger.” Stephen never wavers in his belief that he will achieve his goals. His family taught him to value persistence, and he advises others to persevere until they meet their objectives as well. “I’ve seen people give up a week before they would have signed someone up who could have totally changed their USANA business,” he laments. “I never stop. I already see myself where I want to go. The top earners in this company are fighters. They don’t give up on anything. It’s not something that most learn from a book but something you have to do.”

Next on the list for Stephen is to develop more Gold Directors, help someone in his team pass him and reach a Star-Diamond level, and continue to sponsor new Associates in other markets. “I’m really enjoying opening up new markets,” he says. “I love meeting people from other countries. It doesn’t matter where you are, there’s an abundance of people out there who can benefit from the USANA vision. ”Stephen’s strong faith is a touchstone in his daily life. Every day he prays that those who may benefit from a USANA business may find him. He states, “I ask God to send me the right people for my business, people who truly want to be successful and I will want to work with.”

The other principle that guides Stephen’s actions is a deep conviction in the power of “living to give,” which he learned from Wayne Myers, his great friend and spiritual father. “Wayne wrote a book called Living Beyond the Possible, and he has told me ‘You never see a hearse pulling a U-Haul,’” Stephen explains. “You’re not going to get where you want to go unless you know how to give. The more you give, the more will come back to you. Keep sowing the seeds. Some of the seeds will fall in bad ground, some good.
Cultivate the good. Be like a river and keep the good flowing.”
