Richard and Charlene Webster

Richard and Charlene Webster were introduced to the USANA opportunity in June, 2000.  Richard was a former Systems Engineer for a Computer Research and Development company and on call 24 hours a day.  Charlene was formerly in the banking industry for 20 years, giving nine to ten hours a day.  Charlene’s health was already strained, when Charlene’s mother died very suddenly in August, 1999.  They took on the additional joy of giving care to her father, whose own health had been deteriorating since 1994.  They were looking for a way to maintain health and more have more time to give quality care to Charlene’s father.  They found it all in USANA.

Having been unsuccessful in another network marketing company, they knew the time it would take to build a successful organization.  On a very limited basis in 2000, they began sharing the USANA opportunity with family and friends. Richard was able to attend the USANA International Convention in Salt Lake City in 2001; however, Charlene had to remain behind to care for her father.  It was difficult to return home and share the excitement and emotion meeting Dr. Wentz and able to be part of the launch of the Sensé™ products!

When USANA held a Regional Event in San Antonio in April, 2002, Charlene “caught the vision”! By this time Charlene was reaping the benefit of living a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Wentz appeared on stage and had a picture of the cell on the screen. When she saw that slide and listened to Dr. Wentz, she then knew that she was involved with a company that would help her realize more than a dream of becoming a nurse. She was enrolled in and taking classes at a local university working towards that dream, but had to put it on hold because of the events after her mother’s death, a full-time job and caring for a very ill father. They would now be able to help so many more people find a way to better health maintenance. THAT’S when USANA became so real, that they went Achiever a few short weeks after that event.

In 2003 Richard’s company was bought out by a company out of California. He was told that he would have to choose between living in other two cities NOT in Texas, if he wanted to continue with them. Charlene’s father’s health by that time was declining at a more rapid rate and that next year their youngest would be a senior in high school. There would be no salary increase to cover the cost of living increase over San Antonio in either of those two cities! They sat down and put pencil to paper and determined that Charlene would continue to work at the bank and Richard would stay at home and work their USANA business. One year later, June 15, 2004 Charlene gave her two-weeks notice and on June 30, 2004, she stayed at home and to work with Richard growing their USANA business full-time. They have never looked back!  (Disclaimer)
